Kevin Keller - Executive Vice President 2023 - 2025

Kevin worked in the film industry forever & brought us many a movies.

Kevin has worked tirelessly for TBA in his role as Executive Vice President.  In this role, he planned the 2024 & 2025 conferences both held at MTSU's Student Union Building.

He is UT Knoxville Extension Service Master Beekeeper, a member of Knox County Beekeepers as well as other associations across TN.


Carey Mitchell - Executive Vice President 2019 - 2020

Carey (10-14-1941 to 03-18-2025) kept bees in the early 1980’s but the mites won.  He resumed keeping bees in the early 1990’s with his wife, Petra.  Carey was President of the Wilson County Beekeepers for 25 years, a TBA delegate for many years, and was the Executive Vice President from 2019-2020.  He also co-chaired the Honey Show at the Wilson County Fair for the past 25 plus years (2024).  He provided the Short Course at WCBA and was a mentor to many but a beekeeping friend to many more.

Petra Mitchell - Secretary

Petra has been keeping bees since the early 1990’s with husband Carey.  She has been the secretary/treasurer of Wilson County Beekeepers since 1998 and was the TBA treasurer for 12 years.  She also has held the director position prior to becoming treasurer.  Petra is the Chair of the Honey Show at the Wilson County Fair; a position she shared with Carey for the past 25 plus years. 


Greg Gentry - Upper East TN Regional VP (2023 - 2025)

David Thompson - President (2023 - 2025)

Lance Clevenger - Treasurer (2023 - 2025)

George DeBusk - 1934-2007.  He retired from Johnson Controls after 30 years of service.  He was past-president of Tennessee Sheep Producers Association, member of Tennessee and Knox County Beekeepers Association, and FARM, a local farmers market Association.  He was also a member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local #43 and J.C. Baker Lodge #720 F&AM.  George loved the outdoors and farming and spent his retirement gardening, bee keeping and serving as a 4-H Volunteer Leader.
